Static Electricity and Grounding Safety

Proper grounding of your PureOne system is essential for safety. Static electricity can ignite hydrogen gas, causing explosion or fire. Connect the provided grounding wire to a proper earth ground – either a grounding rod driven 6 feet into the earth or to your home’s electrical ground (green wire in outlet). Never use gas pipes or water pipes as grounds. Test grounding connection monthly using a multimeter – resistance should be less than 25 ohms. Use anti-static mats when working near the generator. Avoid wearing synthetic clothing that generates static. Maintain humidity levels above 30% to reduce static buildup. Touch a grounded metal object before handling the generator.
