Daily Hydrogen prioritizes your safety above all else. The PureONE uses sodium hydroxide (NaOH/lye), which is caustic and can cause severe burns.
Handling lye:
- Always wear safety glasses and rubber gloves when handling the electrolyte
- Never allow lye to contact skin, eyes, or clothing
- Keep a water source nearby at all times when working with the generator
- Store all chemicals away from children and pets
If lye contacts your skin:
Though the PureONE uses a fairly lean lye concentration, if contact does occur, immediately and thoroughly rinse the area with cool water until any soapy feeling is completely gone.
If lye contacts your eyes:
Immediately flush your eyes with clean, lukewarm water for at least 15-30 minutes while seeking immediate medical attention.
Flammability:
The hydrogen gas produced is flammable — keep away from open flames, sparks, and heat sources. Never smoke near the generator.
Static:
To safely neutralize any static charge, simply touch the metal body of the machine. The PureONE itself is grounded through the ground wire in the power cord.
Read and understand all safety instructions before operating your PureONE.
