Daily Hydrogen wants you to be prepared for any emergency. Here’s what to do in common situations involving your PureONE:
Lye contact with skin:
Immediately and thoroughly rinse the area with cool water. The PureONE uses a fairly lean sodium hydroxide mixture, so rinsing the area very thoroughly until any soapy feeling is completely gone is sufficient.
Lye contact with eyes:
Flush your eyes with clean, lukewarm water for at least 15-30 minutes while holding eyelids open, and seek immediate medical attention.
Electrical issues:
Unplug the PureONE before addressing any electrical problem. Do not attempt repairs on a powered unit.
Emergency contact:
Keep Poison Control’s number handy in case of an emergency: 1-800-222-1222.
Never attempt to neutralize lye burns with acid — use only water.
